The governor of Florida was at a ground-breaking at a new flex/industrial product being developed in Pasco County at ComPark 75. The site is home to 2 new tilt-wall buildings, one a flex/grade-level product and the other a dock-high building being built as spec. They have some pre-leasing at the flex building with the local property appraiser office taking space, and it’s exciting to see their confidence in building early in the year. How that translates into activity in their market north of us, we will see, but it should be infectious now that shovels are out.

Also in the spotlight this week (other than the weather) is the attention Bollywood Film Festival is bringing to Tampa, and the preparation for all the foreign business men and dignitaries that will be in our city. The hope is that they will be impressed enough with our great city that they will come back again to visit and do business here. Other than that, not much to report this week that you haven’t heard before – just another week of head-down prospecting and marketing.

Oh and by the way, our team got some well-deserved press on an assignment we were awarded recently. Please click here to hear about 2 million square feet of industrial property that will be aggressively marketed in Tampa
